About the Role

We are seeking someone who is a true team player, who can inspire the team, be accountable, respect and value relationships, give and receive feedback, and above all – someone who can live Purple Support's sole purpose of enhancing the lives who live with disabilities. Someone who will also bring:

  • As the first point of contact for clients, staff, and service providers. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will support your success in this role
  •  You are an incredible communicator and know the right words to use to speak to anybody
  •  Experience in providing services for people with disabilities, particularly those with high or complex needs and who come from different cultural backgrounds
  •  Qualifications that underpin your practical knowledge (for example, a certificate or Diploma in human services, community services, and/or nursing field)
  •  Knowledge of legislation and safe work practices and an understanding of industry policies and procedures
  •  Strong interpersonal and liaison skills with demonstrated ability to resolve matters professionally and effectively
  •  Strong written communication skills, including an ability to prepare professional correspondence and documents for stakeholder
  •  Excellent computer and technology skills across the suite of Microsoft Office products, web-based applications, video conferencing, and audio-visual platforms and facilities, with the ability to troubleshoot under pressure and teach others to use facilities
  •  A positive attitude and highly approachable character with the ability to quickly build a rapport with colleagues, management, and stakeholders from varying backgrounds
  •  A high level of initiative, sound problem-solving skills and judgment, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision
  •  The ability to interact effectively with people from diverse cultures

Key requirements

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role with a strong customer service focus
  • Demonstrated experience using NDIS service provider software
  • Advanced knowledge of using the Microsoft Office suite: Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a high-volume and fast-paced environment

Desirable Criteria

  • Work experience in disability
  • Experience working well in a team environment
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to adapt and successfully multi-task
